Paul Fritzsche
Professional Triathlete
and Triathlon Coach

The sport of triathlon has been a very important part of my life ever since I
did my first race in 1993.  The challenge, excitement, and satisfaction that I
experienced at that local sprint triathlon instantly drew me into the sport and
sparked my desire to become one of the world's best triathletes.

My intense dedication to learning how to train and race effectively helped
me progress fairly quickly as a triathlete.  My strong race results, in turn,
opened up opportunities for me that I never would have imagined.  I've
spent summers at the US Olympic Training Centers working with top
coaches and trainers and I've trained with (and learned from) many world-
class professional athletes.  I've competed in well over 100 triathlons,
including races of every length from sprint-distance to Ironman (and many
of them in far away and amazing places).  Each of these learning
opportunities that I've encountered in my journey to become one of the
world's best triathletes has added to my knowledge of the sport.

As a coach, I combine the knowledge I've gained through personal
experience with the wealth of information I've gathered from books,
magazines, and the internet to help other athletes achieve their goals as
well.  More recently, I’ve also started using my racing experience to help
create and organize a local sprint-distance triathlon that provides an
opportunity for other people in my community to discover the sport that has
brought me so much satisfaction and enjoyment.

On a more personal note, I am 33 years old, I’ve been married to my wife,
Kelly, for a little over 10 years, and, when I am not training and coaching, I
get to enjoy taking care of our young son, Kyle, who is currently
almost 2 1/2 years old.
